Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy in Breast Cancer: What a Menopause and Breast Cancer Survivorship Specialist Wants You to Know! - Corinne Menn, DO, MSCP

Adjuvant endocrine therapy saves lives — but it also comes with a significant burden of side effects that drive treatment discontinuation and compromise quality of life for thousands of breast cancer survivors. In this session, Dr. Corinne Menn brings a uniquely informed perspective to this clinical challenge. As both a menopause specialist and a 24-year breast cancer survivor who has navigated endocrine therapy herself, she understands the stakes from both sides of the exam room. Dr. Menn will review the mechanisms and indications for adjuvant endocrine therapy, examine the hormonal and sexual health consequences of aromatase inhibitors and tamoxifen, and provide evidence-based strategies for managing side effects — including premature menopause, genitourinary syndrome, bone loss, mood changes, and sexual dysfunction — without compromising oncologic outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical frameworks for supporting their patients through the full arc of endocrine therapy, from initiation through long-term survivorship.

Corinne Menn, DO, MSCP, is a board-certified OB/GYN, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and one of the most distinctive voices in menopause and cancer survivorship care — bringing both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. A 24-year survivor of breast cancer and premature menopause, and a BRCA carrier, Dr. Menn has dedicated her practice to the women most often underserved by traditional medicine: those navigating menopause after cancer, at high risk for breast cancer, or managing complex hormonal health challenges.

She serves as Director of Clinical Innovation and Education at Alloy Women's Health, a digital platform expanding access to evidence-based menopause care, and maintains a private telehealth practice offering specialty consultations. She is a faculty member for the Harvard Medical School Women's Health and Menopause course, a frequent national speaker, and an active volunteer with the Young Survival Coalition, where she serves on the Council of Advisors and leads their Provider-Survivor Support Group.
